Alex Smolinski grew up in Syracuse, NY, where he discovered his passion for music at just 9 years old, starting with drums and percussion. By 14, his love for rock 'n’ roll led him to perform in a band with high school seniors at a popular local rock club. After high school, Alex attended The Crane School of Music and spent over a decade working as a drummer, audio engineer, and music producer in New York City. His work with Universal Records and Sony Music took him on global tours, further shaping his expertise in both the studio and on the road.
Eventually, Alex transitioned to creative sound for film and TV, taking on the role of sound editor and re-recording mixer for Chopped on the Food Network.
